A couple of intriguing Game 6 matchups are on tap, as the opening round of the NBA Playoffs comes near its end.

EASTERN CONFERENCE

(3) Milwaukee Bucks vs. (6) Indiana Pacers (Pacers lead, 3-2)

• When: Thursday, May 2

With their season on the line and missing their two best players, the Bucks came out with a great team effort on Tuesday night to keep their season alive. Despite falling behind early, Milwaukee took over the game, outscoring the Pacers 30-17 in the second quarter, and 34-19 in the third. The Bucks cruised the rest of the way to a 115-92 win.

All five Milwaukee starts hit double-digits in Game 5. Khris Middleton and Bobby Portis each led the team with double-doubles, both scoring 29 points while Middleton had 12 rebounds, with Portis grabbing 10.

Tyrese Haliburton led the Pacers with a measly 16 points.

(2) New York Knicks vs. (7) Philadelphia 76ers (Knicks lead, 3-2)

• Where: Wells Fargo Center (Philadelphia, Pa.)

It looked like the 76ers were down and out, heading back to Madison Square Garden. However, they managed to come out on top in a back-and-forth game that went beyond regulation. The Knicks had a big second quarter, putting up 32 points to Philadelphia’s 17, but the Sixers rebounded in the second half, forcing overtime. The 76ers outscored New York 15-9 in the extra period, staving off elimination with a 112-106 victory.

Tyrese Maxey was incredible, scoring 46 points. Joel Embiid quietly picked up another triple-double with 19 points, 10 assists and 16 rebounds.

Jalen Brunson led the Knicks with 40 points, the only player on his team score over 20 points in the loss.
