GOLFTEC UNVEILS FUTURE OF GOLF IMPROVEMENT WITH INAUGURAL NEW YORK CITY LOCATION – The Golf Wire
Flagship venue features company’s proprietary game-improvement technology, expert coaching and state-of-the-art design – allowing members to learn, practice and access the right clubs for their game
NEW YORK – GOLFTEC, the world leader in golf improvement, today unveiled the future of golf instruction with its first New York City facility, located near Bryant Park in Midtown. GOLFTEC Manhattan is a state-of-the-art flagship that delivers on the company mission of helping golfers unlock their potential with innovative teaching from expert coaches informed by proprietary game improvement technology.
Nearly three decades after its founding, GOLFTEC’s newest location increases the company’s footprint to 262 locations across the U.S., Canada, China, Japan, Singapore, South Africa and Dubai.
GOLFTEC Manhattan covers 4,500 square feet and includes six hitting bays, allowing members to be taught by the best coaches, practice with the latest technology and get fitted into the right clubs – a system that has helped GOLFTEC students improve by an average of seven shots. The center is equipped with OptiMotion, the innovative motion capture system that has recently been used by CBS Sports on its golf telecasts, as well as SKYTRAK+ launch monitors, which gives coaches the data and insight to provide golfers with clear plans for improvement.
“As the game of golf experiences exponential growth, particularly outside of traditional venues, we remain on a mission to help golfers everywhere improve their games and elevate their enjoyment,” said Joe Assell, CEO of GOLFTEC. “We’re excited to open our first location in New York City, one of the largest and most passionate golf markets in the world. With interest in the game at an all-time high, we want to help every golfer unlock their potential with our unique approach to game improvement.”
GOLFTEC Manhattan is staffed by a team of expert coaches – led by Center Manager and Director of Instruction Jake Miller, a PGA Member with extensive teaching experience, along with fellow PGA Member Sean Hand, South Africa PGA Member Tumie Motale, and certified professional Jason Eisenman.
In addition to private lessons, that team will lead GOLFTEC’s custom club fitting program, which provides members access to the latest equipment from major brands like Callaway, TaylorMade,
Titleist, PING and many more. GOLFTEC has collected more than six billion data points from millions of swings from years of club fittings, helping coaches tailor every club to every individual, and allowing golfers to gain an average of 20 yards off the tee.
Members also can practice with all of GOLFTEC’s training tools, including OptiMotion, SKYTRAK+ launch monitors and the GOLFTEC app that can record swings, review lessons, track data and provide performance insights.
Located at 8 E. 40th St., GOLFTEC Manhattan is open daily from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. and celebrated its grand opening on Thursday, April 18. To schedule a lesson or inquire about membership visit https://www.golftec.com/golf-lessons/new-york/manhattan.
