Embiid’s Monster Game Gets Philly on the Board
Game 3 was a nonstop Joel Embiid show. The seven-foot center dropped 50 points on 13-of-19 shooting from the field and a ludicrous 19-of-21 performance from the free-throw line. Embiid also had a game-high eight rebounds and four assists.
Tyrese Maxey (25.9 PPG) continued to provide invaluable secondary scoring with 25 points in the win, and is now averaging 27.7 PPG in the postseason.
On the Knicks side, Jalen Brunson dropped a team-high 39 points in a losing effort, shooting 13-of-27 from the floor. Josh Hart added 20 points but only managed six rebounds, his lowest total in the past eight games.
Knicks vs 76ers Game 4 Injury Reports
New York center Mitchell Robinson (5.6 PPG, 8.5 RPG) remains on the injury report, listed as questionable with an ankle injury (the same designation he carried prior to Game 3). Robinson played just 12 minutes on Thursday, scoring two points and grabbing seven boards.
The Sixers’ injury report lists Embiid as questionable with a knee injury, but it doesn’t have oddsmakers worried. Embiid was also questionable ahead of Game 3 before playing 41 minutes.

New York Knicks vs Philadelphia 76ers Prediction
After the 76ers were egregiously robbed by the officiating in Game 2, I backed them to take win and cover Game 3. Embiid was visibly angry after the Game 2 heartbreak and took out his frustrations on the court, all while stating the Sixers were still going to win the series.
The reality for the Knicks is that they don’t have the personnel to contain Embiid when he’s at his best and most-motivated. While I don’t expect another 50-burger from the reigning NBA MVP, I also don’t expect Game 4 to look much different from Game 3.
NYK vs PHI picks:
- 76ers -4.5 (-110)
- Hart under 11.5 rebounds (-118)
