The Knicks realized these Pacers are for real in Game 1 on Monday night. A big second quarter, which saw Indiana outscore New York 31-22, gave the Pacers a six-point lead into halftime. However, the Knicks rallied in the second half, putting up 39 points in the fourth quarter to the Pacers’ 30, pulling out a 121-117 win.
Jalen Brunson had another sellar performance, leading the Knicks with 43 points. Three players ended up hitting 20 points, as Donte DiVincenzo scored 25 points, while Josh Hart earned a double-double with 24 points and 13 rebounds.
Myles Turner led Indiana with 23 points, while TJ McConnell came off the bench to score 18. Pascal Siakam dropped 19 in the losing effort.
The Knicks are now 3-1 at home in these playoffs, while the Pacers are 1-3 away from home.
