Tom Brady will call Cowboys vs. Browns for Fox NFL debut

Tom Brady’s broadcasting debut for Fox Sports has been revealed.

The network announced at its Upfronts in New York on Monday that Brady will be on the call when the Cowboys take on the Browns in Cleveland on Sept 8.

The news was revealed onstage by Fox NFL studio analyst Michael Strahan.

The game will be the second half of a Fox doubleheader, and will not face competition from a CBS window.

This news is over two years in the making, as Brady and Fox originally announced in 2022 that the seven-time Super Bowl champion quarterback would join the network’s top announce team after his playing career concluded.

Brady took a gap year last season to spend time with his family after retiring from the NFL following a 23-year career.

Former Post media columnist Andrew Marchand reported that Brady’s deal with Fox Sports is worth a total of $375 million over 10 years.

Brady is slated to replace Greg Olsen on the top Fox NFL announce team alongside Kevin Burkhardt.

Considering that Brady led the Bucs to an NFC South division championship in 2022 and threw for nearly 5,000 yards, there has remained speculation that he could return to the gridiron.

As recently as last month, Brady said on a podcast that he’s “not opposed” to returning to football in the event a starting quarterback went down on a contender late in the season.

Elsewhere at Fox Upfronts, the network announced that a premier women’s basketball matchup — USC versus UConn, featuring JuJu Watkins and Paige Bueckers — will air on Saturday, Dec. 21 after an NFL game.

Fox also announced three showcase games for its Big Noon Kickoff college football package — Texas at Michigan on Sept. 7, Alabama at Wisconsin on Sept. 14 and Michigan at Ohio State on Nov. 30.
