IND Vs BAN, T20 World Cup 2024: New York To Host India’s Warm-Up Clash Against Bangladesh – Report

Rohit Sharma’s India will play three out of their four group encounters at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York in T20 World Cup 2024.

India and Bangladesh are not in the same group in the T20 World Cup 2024.

New Delhi: India’s only warm-up game against Bangladesh at the T20 World Cup 2024 will be held at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York, according to reports. In general, teams at any ICC events get atleast two warm-up games but with the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) finishing on May 26, the Men in Blue won’t be getting all their players as five out of the 15 will be playing in the playoffs. As a result, the Indian team will be departing in two batches to USA and West Indies.

With India playing three of their four Group A games playing at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium, the warm-up game will give Rohit Sharma’s men an idea about how the conditions are and about the pitch. Notably, drop-in pitches have been installed at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium and the IND vs BAN encounter will be first time a cricket match to be played on the wicket.

In New York, India will play Ireland (June 5), Pakistan (June 9) and co-hosts USA (June 12). The 2007 champions will play Canada in their last group encounter at the Central Broward Regional Park Stadium Turf Ground in Lauderhill, Florida.
