New York Giants quarterback Daniel Jones participated in 7-on-7 drills during the team’s first organized team activity
(OTA) session Monday, according to the team’s website.
Jones is working his way back from a torn ACL that ended his 2023 season prematurely. This was after also dealing with a neck injury.
According to Dan Salomone of the team’s website, Jones took part in 7-on-7 drills, connecting with the first-team wide receivers.
Quarterback Daniel Jones, who underwent surgery to repair a torn ACL on Nov. 22, took the next step in his rehab and participated in 7-on-7 drills. He completed passes to wide receivers Wan’Dale Robinson and Malik Nabers, the sixth overall pick in the draft. The hope has been to have Jones full-go for training camp in late July.
This is a big step for Jones to get back into the mix full-time. It’s unclear how much the Giants will push his participation throughout OTAs and minicamp, which concludes the offseason workouts in June.
Jones is entering a big season, one that will likely determine the rest of his career, so it’s a good sign that he’s able to get on the field during the spring workouts.
