The New York Giants placed wide receiver Chase Cota on the Reserve/Injured list as a corresponding move to the signing of free agent running back Jacob Saylors.
Cota suffered a broken collarbone during minicamp and was expected to miss the next six weeks.
The Giants signed Saylors after his standout season in the UFL and after a workout with the team earlier in the offseason.
After going undrafted in 2023 out of East Tennessee State, Saylors initially signed with the Cincinnati Bengals. He didn’t make the active roster during that preseason and tried his luck in the UFL.
With the St. Louis Battlehawks, Saylors was named to the All-UFL team after taking 94 carries for 461 yards and five rushing touchdowns.
