Woman doused with bleach, bludgeoned by four in NYC furniture store mugging
A violent crew bludgeoned a 24-year-old woman inside a Bronx furniture store and doused her with bleach before swiping her cellphone, cops said.
Two men and two women stormed up to the victim inside the Fat Albert and Hollywood Furniture store on East 138th Street near St. Ann’s Avenue in Mott Haven around 5:45 p.m. Wednesday, authorities said.
They whacked her with a “blunt instrument” before grabbing her phone and throwing bleach on her, cops said.
The victim, who was left with a cut on her head, was taken to Lincoln Medical Center, police said.
Authorities could not confirm whether she is an employee of the store.
Police released photos of the suspected assailants late Tuesday.
One of the men is described as having a dark complexion, wearing a white T-shirt, black pants and black sneakers, cops said.
The other man also had a dark complexion, and was last seen wearing a black T-shirt with a graphic, dark gray pants, a black and red baseball cap and gray sneakers.
One of the women is described as having a light complexion, and wore a black T-shirt with a graphic, black pants and white shoes at the time of the mugging.
The other woman, described as having a medium complexion, wore a dark gray T-shirt.
