What’s New
The Jets receivers group will look similar to last season with a couple of notable additions. General manager Joe Douglas added a pair of pass catchers this offseason — Mike Williams in free agency and Malachi Corley in the draft.

Williams, a big-play threat, will help stretch the field once he returns from a torn ACL he sustained in Week 3 last season. He has averaged 15.6 yards per reception in seven pro campaigns and led the league with 20.3 yards per reception in 2019.

Corley, the team’s third-round pick out of Western Kentucky, brings more physicality to the group. The “YAC King” in college, Corley forced 40 missed tackled in the 2022 season and his 975 yards after the catch were 292 more than the next-closest FBS receiver. His biggest adjustment will be expanding his route tree as 75.7% of his 79 catches for the Hilltopers last season came within 10 yards of the line of scrimmage.

“He’ll have some stuff to get used to from just being a rookie,” WRs coach Shawn Jefferson said. “He’s going to go through a lot of growing pains and everything like that by learning defenses. … But I think this kid can play ball. He can play ball and it’s up to me to put him in positions to do the things that he does best.”
