4 New York Hospitals Make Latest U.S News & World Report Honor Roll
NEW YORK — With expertise across multiple specialty areas, four New York hospitals rank among the 20 best in the country in U.S. News & World Report’s 2024-2025 Best Hospitals ranking released Tuesday.
For its 35th annual report, U.S. News evaluated more than 5,000 hospitals based on their performance across 30 medical and surgical services.
The honor roll hospitals in New York are Mount Sinai Hospital, New York-Presbyterian Hospital-Columbia and Cornell, North Shore University Hospital at Northwell Health and NYU Langone Hospitals.
U.S. News also ranked the top regional hospitals in New York:

- Staten Island University Hospital at Northwell Health
- Strong Memorial of the University of Rochester
- White Plains Hospital
- St. Peter’s Hospital — Albany

For the first time this year, U.S. News also identified 98 hospitals across the country for their success in caring for patients from historically underserved communities. In New York, NYC Health and Hospitals-Elmhurst was recognized.
