New York Giants claim former Eagles cornerback off waivers | Sporting News

The New York Giants claimed former Philadelphia Eagles cornerback Mario Goodrich off waivers Wednesday.

Goodrich, 24, went undrafted following the 2022 NFL Draft. He signed with the Eagles following the draft and has spent his NFL time in Philly since then.

Goodrich spent his rookie season on the practice squad in 2022 and spent roughly a month on the active roster in 2023 before being waived and re-signed to the practice squad.

In four career games (one start), Goodrich has five tackles (three solo). He attended Clemson where he won a National Championship in 2018  and was named a First-Team All-ACC player in 2021.

In a corresponding move, cornerback Stantley Thomas-Oliver was waived with a non-football injury designation.
