The New York Giants and the New York Jets meet Saturday in NFL preseason action from MetLife Stadium. Here’s a New York Jets vs New York Giants prediction. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best Jets vs Giants pick.

New York Giants Betting Preview

The Giants opened up their preseason slate with a matchup versus the Detroit Lions. New York scored all their points in the second quarter during that one, bagging a 14-3 win in the end. QB Tommy DeVito finished with 92 yards while Eric Gray led the receivers on 46 yards from four catches.

In preseason game two versus the Houston Texans, the Giants gave up 14 points in the fourth quarter during a 28-10 loss. Daniel Jones threw for 138 yards and two picks on a 11-of-18 rate. Devin Singletary topped the rushers on 10 carries for 20 yards and a score.

Andrew Peasley threw for 73 yards and a TD in the victory. Brandon Smith was tops in receiving with 70 yards on two catches.

Matched up against the Carolina Panthers over the weekend in preseason game two, the Jets scored in each of the final three quarters during a 15-12 win. Adrian Martinez went 7-of-17 for 67 yards and an interception. Lance McCutcheon added two catches for 25 yards.

New York Jets vs New York Giants Prediction

I might lean toward the Jets. Probably not touching this one, though. New York’s offensive stats against the Panthers leave something to be desired. The Jets posted just 202 total yards (85 passing) and 14 first downs. That said, the Jets also gave up just 156 total yards (56 passing) and 12 first downs on the other side. Carolina’s 10 penalties helped as well.

As for the Giants, they managed 279 total yards (205 passing) and a nice 6-of-12 on third downs in their loss to the Texans. New York also gave up a whopping five turnovers (three fumbles) and allowed 369 yards (255 passing) on defense. This is probably the Jets’ game to win if they leave the higher-tier defenders in for a while.
