Shari Redstone Set to Speak at Advertising Week New York

Shari Redstone and a roster of Hollywood talent will take the stage at Advertising Week in New York this fall.

Other headliners include Kevin Bacon, Drew Barrymore, Kenneth Cole, Common, Terry Crews, Al Roker and Michael Strahan. The four-day event, which brought in more than 15,000 attendees and more than 4,000 companies last year, takes place in Midtown Manhattan from Oct. 7 through Oct. 10. The Broadway cast of The Outsiders is also set to perform.

Redstone will speak with Matthew Segal from ATTN about their joint projects including Well Versed, an animated musical short-form series about democracy and civics for children, as well as her long-form TV specials on Holocaust education and Jewish heritage. The move comes as Redstone navigates the sale of her controlling stake in Paramount Global.

Bacon is slated to speak about his nonprofit organization, SixDegrees, which focus on initiatives to enrich local communities, as well blending social and environmental impact with brand storytelling.

Barrymore will speak about her upcoming projects, as well as her view on daytime TV and the need to create uplifting programming. Cole will discuss his work with the Mental Health Coalition.

Crews will discuss his new creative agency, Super Serious, and his vision for entertainment and advertising. Common will discuss how to create impactful ads and the best ways to approach brand reinvention.

Strahan will discuss his vision for his talent management firm and production company, SMAC Entertainment, with the company’s CEO Constance Schwartz-Morini.

Past speakers at the event have included Matthew McConaughey, Jessica Alba, Paris Hilton, Jennifer Garner, Issa Rae, Molly Sims, Andy Cohen and more.
