Jill Biden Does Structured Suiting at Ralph Lauren’s New York Fashion Week Spring 2025 Party

Jill Biden embraced structured suiting on Thursday as Ralph Lauren’s guest for his spring 2025 runway show in the Hamptons.

The first lady wore Ralph Lauren Collection’s Beckman blazer — a twist on traditional suit jackets, featuring princess seams on the front and back, and waist darts. The wool blend blazer is complete with a square neckline and buttoned placket. Biden accessorized with matching trousers and pumps, and added a touch of sparkle with an ornate brooch.

The starry night saw Biden mingling with Usher, Jude Law, Rufus Wainwright, Tom Hiddleston and Lauren’s wife Ricky Anne Loew-Beer.

Other guests included Laura Dern, Jodie Foster, Colman Domingo, Naomi Watts, Kacey Musgraves and more.

Lauren presented looks from Ralph Lauren Collection, Purple Label and Polo Ralph Lauren. WWD’s Booth Moore described the collections as “loosely drawing inspiration from the Hamptons environs, with nods to the maritime and equestrian experiences, numerous shades of blue inspired by the blue skies (which thankfully were with the brand for the event), crisp whites and tans.”

Biden is a fan of the label. In August, she wore the brand again, opting for a purple double-breasted blazer by Ralph Lauren Collection featuring peak lapels and crown-engraved buttons for her departure from the White House to the Democratic National Convention in Chicago.

Biden is known for often wearing Ralph Lauren in public as she has been embracing American designers throughout President Joe Biden’s tenure. She notably wore the brand at the Paris Olympics opening ceremony in July, as well as during a state dinner for Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi in June 2023 and at the coronation of King Charles III in May 2023.
