Madonna’s son David Banda, 18, makes NYFW runway debut
David Banda has taken over New York Fashion Week.
Madonna’s 18-year-old son made his grand debut as a New York Fashion Week model during Off-White’s spring 2025 collection on Sunday.
He sported a multi-colored plaid vest, pleated pants and black flip-flops, accessorizing with silver statement earrings and black finger gloves.
Several celebrities watched the Banda work the catwalk, including pop star Camila Cabello, Olympian Suni Lee and actress Issa Rae, per People.
Banda’s famous mother also supported him, as Madonna showed herself en route to Off-White’s NYFW afterparty later that night.
The “Material Girl” songstress, 66, wore cargo-style jeans, a striped long-sleeve top and sunglasses for the event.
Madonna previously talked about Banda’s passion for fashion, admitting he was out-dressing her on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” in August 2022.
“He can put on any outfit and look swag as you know what,” the fashion icon said.
“It’s really irritating. He wears my clothes and looks better in them. He can even wear a dress and look butch.”
That same year, the mother-son duo showed off their similar style as they rocked matching Adidas outfits to the WBA World Lightweight Championship.
At the time, Banda donned a red dress with Adidas stripes on the side, while Madonna opted to wear an oversized jacket and pants from the athletic brand.
Banda holds a special place in the “Like a Virgin” singer’s heart as she’s previously gushed about their special relationship.
“He’s the one I have the most in common with,” she told British Vogue in 2019. “I feel like he gets me; he has more of my DNA than any of my children so far.”
Madonna adopted Banda with ex-husband, Guy Ritche, in 2008,
The hitmaker is also the mother to Lourdes, 27 Rocco, 24, Mercy, 18, and twins Stella and Estere, 12.
