Malik Nabers nominated for Pepsi Zero Sugar Rookie of the Week

The Giants selected Nabers with the sixth overall pick following his breakout 2023 campaign at LSU, in which he finished with 1,569 receiving yards, marking his second consecutive year with more than 1,000 yards. He also recorded 89 receptions and led the FBS in receiving yards while ranking No. 2 in receiving touchdowns at the conclusion of the regular season.

He also registered the most 10+ yard plays, 20+ yard plays and 30+ yard plays in the nation last year while finishing his collegiate career as LSU’s all-time leader in receptions and receiving yards. Nabers was named Unanimous All-American and first-team All-SEC for his standout 2023 campaign.

Two Giants players won the Rookie of the Week award last year: wide receiver Jalin Hyatt (Week 12) and quarterback Tommy DeVito (Weeks 11 and 14).

The other players nominated for Pepsi Zero Sugar Rookie of the Week included:

  • QB Jayden Daniels, Washington Commanders
  • WR Brian Thomas Jr., Jacksonville Jaguars
  • WR Xavier Worthy, Kansas City Chiefs
  • TE Brock Bowers, Las Vegas Raiders
  • Return specialist Jha’Quan Jackson, Tennessee Titans

Fans vote for one of six players on NFL.com/rookies, @NFL on Twitter, and on the NFL Mobile app. After the regular season, six players will be nominated for the Pepsi Zero Sugar Rookie of the Years honor. Fans can vote for the winner on NFL.com/rookies throughout the month of January.
