ZoneBall Game at Hofstra Fitness Center | News | Hofstra University, New York

Get ready for an exciting afternoon of ZoneBall at the Hofstra Fitness Center on Sunday, September 29, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.

This dynamic and engaging sport is set to bring together players and spectators for a thrilling experience.

The sport aired on ESPN2 as part of their ESPN8 The OCHO promotion just last month.

Created by Hofstra alumnus Steve Strangio, ZoneBall is a fast-paced, all-gender, non-contact game that is played with a medium-sized ball that players hand-hold and pass within their team. Teams, usually consisting of four to five players, compete against each other on any large surface.

The centerpiece of ZoneBall is the **A-shaped goal**, positioned in the middle of the court. This unique goal has a hole on both sides of its backboard, adding an exciting challenge to the game. Players dribble the ball, stop, start, and pass it around until a teammate has the chance to take a shot at the goal.

Join us for an afternoon of fun, competition, and school spirit. Whether you’re a seasoned player or new to the game, ZoneBall offers something for everyone.

Don’t miss out on this opportunity to experience the excitement of ZoneBall firsthand!

Bring your own team or show up and get picked for a team.
