“I guess that’s a great way to kind of welcome myself and win a football game. So, I’m happy with it.”

On reactions from all teammates:

“Oh, just happiness. You know, it’s been this whole week, me being here on Monday, everyone’s been just open arms, very positive. And it’s been a lot easier to kind of just get in the flow of things, because the positivity around here is really, really good.”

On working through the transition holding and snapping with new teammates:

“Well, these are two of the best in the league, and coming into the situation here I knew there was a great snapper and a great holder, and I trust them. So, it just makes my job a lot easier, because I know that [LS] [Tyler] Ott is going to hit his spot, and I trust him to hit the spot hold. All I gotta do is just trust my technique and just time it up. And that comes down to me doing that, and I thought we executed that fairly well. On Wednesday, Thursday and today.”

On if he has ever made seven field goals:

“No, no, I haven’t. I mean, maybe back in little league days.”

On the feeling before the game-winning kick:

“I mean, for me, it’s just trusting my technique. Did it on all previous ones. No reason to make it bigger than it is. Just go out there and do what I do. And in the off season, it’s funny, I have a lot next to my house and there’s a pine tree, and I go out and I kick this pine tree. I don’t go to a field anymore, I can get this pine tree. So, I just tell myself to go out there and get the tree. Go out there and trust my technique, and it works for me.”

“Well, we go like three days a week. My wife will film me. My daughter will be out there with us too, and we’ll get like, 25 to 30 balls. Yeah, it’s fun. So, it’s a family event.”

On the team’s red zone struggles:

“I think just going back to doing your job, you know, focusing on what you can put in those situations. The staff brought me in for a reason, and they believed in me to do that, and you just got to go out and execute it. Like I said, not make it bigger than what it is. Just trust your technique and do it. Put others first, like every time. I say a quick prayer, I put my teammates first and coaches first and fans first, and then I just allow my talent to take over. That’s kind of been my thought process through all of this.”
