Those sent down include forwards Brett Budgell, Jonny Evans, Blade Jenkins, Blake McLaughlin and Maxim Barbashev, as well as defensemen Blake Hillman, Case McCarthy, Jake Murray, Chase Pauls, Ryan Siedem and Carter Berger.
Seven of the players assigned (Barbashev, McLaughlin, Jenkins, Hillman, Berger, Siedem & McCarthy) are already signed to AHL contracts for this season while the remaining four (Pauls, Murray, Evans & Budgell) will join training camp on professional try-outs.
Of those assigned, five have played for the Wolf Pack in the past. Barbashev joined the team on an ATO last year after his season in the QMJHL came to an end. Jenkins played in 13 games for the team after signing with them in February. Hillman spent the entire season with the Wolf Pack in 2023-24 where he put up 15 points in 60 regular season games and both McCarthy as well as Siedem made their pro debuts with the Wolf Pack after their NCAA seasons ended.
As the Wolf Pack enter the 2024-25 season, they will try to build off of their success this past year. Having made it to the Atlantic Division Finals for the second season in a row, the Wolf Pack showed they weren’t a team to mess around with.
