NEW YORK (PIX11) – If you’re a college student looking to kick off your career in New York City, there are dozens of positions available on the JobsNYC website.

Salaries for college students working for the city, including intern positions, range from around $15.50 to up to about $23 per hour. Many of the available jobs are part-time, allowing students to attend classes while also working.

The Department of Youth and Community Development is hiring an applications support college aide. You’ll qualify for the role if you have a strong commitment to customer service, are able to work in a fast-paced environment and have knowledge of development methodologies, Microsoft Windows and IIS.

NYCHA is also hiring a compliance intern. As a compliance intern, you’ll work under the Procedures Unit, which is responsible for NYCHA’s standard operating procedures.

Responsibilities of the role include updating Excel spreadsheet reports, reviewing files and assisting with the management of the Procedures Unit database.
