2024 NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year odds: Jayden Daniels, Malik Nabers showing star power
Jayden Daniels and Malik Nabers were stylin’ and profilin’ in Week 3 and have firmly set themselves apart as Offensive Rookie of the Year favorites.
Daniels has taken over the clear favorite slot after his “Monday Night Football” extravaganza, coming in at +125 odds at Fanatics Sportsbook, while Nabers sits behind him at +240 odds.
Any doubt that Daniels wouldn’t be a good pick at No. 2 overall went out the window on “Monday Night Football” when he put up historically great numbers, including a 91.3 percent completion rate in the 38-33 stunning road win over the Bengals.
Daniels put up 293 total yards and three total touchdowns to take over the favorite spot, which Nabers held with Marvin Harrison Jr. entering the prime-time clash with +225 odds.
The Washington quarterback was sitting at +350 odds at BetMGM.
Nabers, meanwhile, was sitting at +750 odds to win Offensive Rookie of the Year on Saturday and jumped the field entering “Monday Night Football.”
His eight-catch, 78-yard, two-touchdown line in the 21-15 upset of the Browns added to his strong numbers through two weeks.
Nabers is fifth in the NFL in receiving yards (271) and tied for the league-high in receiving touchdowns (three).
It will be tough to tell who has the actual edge from a historical perspective, with the last 20 awards being split among quarterbacks and skill players (four receivers, six running backs).
Last year’s rookie receiver for the Rams, Puka Nacua, set a record for receiving yards by a rookie and still didn’t win the award as Texans quarterback CJ Stroud grabbed the award.
Receivers have won the award three times since 2014, although two of those have come in the past three years (Ja’Marr Chase, Garrett Wilson)
Quarterbacks have taken home the hardware four times since 2014.
