Thursday Night Football Week 4: Dallas Cowboys @ New York Giants NFL Best Bets and Top Props

Thursday football is back for Week 4 and we are going to help you win some money with our best bets and top props.

Week 4 is here and it’s time for Thursday Night Football! This week we have an NFC East battle between two 1-2 teams who are trying to stay out of the basement in the division. The Dallas Cowboys will hit the road to take on the New York Giants at Metlife Field.

We’re coming off back-to-back terrible TNF games, so hopefully, this week’s matchup can get us back on track. The Giants have looked surprisingly competent and would probably be 2-1 if they hadn’t lost their field goal kicker early in Week 2, costing them the game. The Cowboys, however, have looked terrible getting gashed on defense and playing mediocre on offense. It will be interesting to see how these teams match up once they get on the field together.

Week 4 NFL Best Bets

Let’s start with what should be the strongest unit in this game and that’s the Dallas offense. They had the top offense last year, but have fallen off the tracks the past two weeks. The rushing attack is abysmal and led by a clearly declining . has been more effective but still is yet to prove to be anything more than slightly below average. It’s difficult to see what this team is going to do to improve the rushing attack which is why we expect them to lean so heavily on the passing game. 

With back from injury, should get back to lighting things up with his full allotment of weapons. is his premier weapon, complemented by guys like and .

Dak and Lamb will need to get on the same page this week. Neither guy has been bad, but they have both failed to meet expectations. By the time most fantasy drafts took place, Lamb was the consensus WR1 and his numbers have not reflected that as he’s totaled just 13 catches for 218 yards and one TD through three games.

The Giants will look to find ways to score against a Cowboys’ defense that has been horrific so far this season, especially, on the ground. They rank 28th in the league in yards per game, 30th in points allowed per game and dead last against the run. We expect the Giants to attack them on the ground early and often.

This could be a huge game for , with also taking advantage of the defense with his legs. Until the Cowboys prove that they have some sort of answer against the rush, there is no reason to stop exploiting their porous defense. This matchup is perfect for the Giants, who aren’t great when it comes to airing it out. 

The Giants’ defense has been middle of the pack all season, but stronger against the pass than the run. It will be interesting to see how well the Cowboys can move the ball in this one and if their defense is able to hold up. This team could be at an early crossroads for this season and a loss could send them spiraling. Either way, we expect this game to be a close one with more points scored than many might project.

Player Props of the Night

Prop #1: Devin Singletary, 60+ Rushing Yards (-130)

As we mentioned earlier, the Cowboys have the worst rushing defense in the league so far this season and it hasn’t been all that close. We are confident that Singletary can blow past this bar with ease and we wouldn’t fault you for raising this bar to win even more money. Over the past two weeks, has rushed for 115 yards and 151 yards against this defense. Singletary isn’t as good as those two aging backs, nonetheless, he’s not being asked to do close to what they did with a 60-yard target either. 

Prop #2: Daniel Jones, 25+ Rushing Yards (-210)

This should be another easy bar to clear for Jones who is one of the better running quarterbacks in the NFL. Through three games, the Cowboys have allowed 145 rushing yards to quarterbacks and have allowed a QB to rush for at least 39 yards in two of those games. There is no reason to believe that Jones won’t get to 25 rushing yards. 

Prop #3: CeeDee Lamb, 70+ Receiving Yards (-180)

The Cowboys have been struggling and are in a must-win situation. When their backs are up against the wall, they are going to go to their best player. That’s why we are projecting Lamb to have his 2024 breakout game. There is no way the Cowboys don’t go down swinging without forcing the ball to their only superstar on offense. Lamb will have a season-high in receptions and yards this week.
