New York Knicks trade Julius Randle and others for Wolves’ Karl-Anthony Towns

Former Kentucky Wildcats superstars are officially on the move in a huge NBA blockbuster trade.

The New York Knicks have sent Julius Randle, Donte DiVincenzo, and a first-round pick (from the Pistons) to the Minnesota Timberwolves in exchange for Karl-Anthony Towns.

The Knicks have been in desperate need of a game-changing big man and have found their guy in the former Kentucky Wildcat.

Towns went to social media immediately and kept his response short, and it can be perceived in many different ways.

In terms of contract situations, Towns is under contract for another season with a nearly 50 million dollar cap hit. On the other hand, Randle is under contract for another two seasons, and DiVincenzo still has three seasons left.

This is quite an interesting trade for both parties involved but will be interesting to see how the trade plays out long term.

It is always neat to see Kentucky players in the NBA, but it’s even more impressive to see a swap of two former Wildcats rocking the NBA.
