MINNEAPOLIS (KVRR) — After reaching the Western Conference Finals for the first time since 2004 this past season, the Minnesota Timberwolves are trading Karl-Anthony Towns to New York Knicks, sources tell ‘The Athletic’.
Towns, 28, has spent his entire nine-year career in Minnesota since being selected with the No. 1 overall pick in the 2015 NBA Draft. He averaged 21.8 points and 8.3 rebounds per game in 2023-24.
The Timberwolves are set to receive Julius Randle, Donte DiVincenzo and a first-round pick via Detroit, sources tell Shams Charania and Jon Krawczynski of The Athletic.
