Odell Beckham Jr. praises Giants’ Malik Nabers after latest breakout game

Odell Beckham Jr. was impressed by a fellow LSU alum.

The former Giants star and current Dolphins wide receiver was one of many watching the Cowboys emerge victorious on “Thursday Night Football.”

But for many, the story became the continued blossoming of LSU’s latest receiver success story — Giants star Malik Nabers.

The 21-year-old was the No. 6 overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft and wrecked the Cowboys secondary to the tune of 12 catches for 115 yards.

Beckham posted praise for Nabers on X, writing, “I kno I ain’t sayin nothin we don’t all know but uhhh Malik Nabers is [face vomiting emoji] ….”

Nabers has produced an absurd start to his career, putting up 35 catches for 386 yards and three touchdowns in four games.

He left the Week 4 loss to Dallas with a concussion, but the Giants won’t return to action until next Sunday against the Seahawks, providing a 10-day window in between games.

Nabers said he’s “all good,” but this doesn’t serve as confirmation that it’s actually the case.

Beckham, in many ways, had a similar path to Nabers a decade ago, as he was Big Blue’s No. 12 overall draft pick in 2014 and became an immediate star.

After missing ample time due to a hamstring injury, it only took Beckham 12 games (11 starts) to put up 1,305 receiving yards, 91 catches and 12 touchdowns in a year that won NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year and got him the first of three consecutive Pro Bowl bids.

Beckham Jr. didn’t have the happiest ending with the Giants, though, and was traded to the Browns in 2019.

He has since made stops with the Rams, Ravens and now Dolphins, though he looked like a Super Bowl MVP contender in 2022 with the Rams during their win over the Bengals before tearing his ACL.

Beckham is on injured reserve, but he’s eligible to return following Week 4.
