Injured Mitchell Robinson Falls Prey To Public Fat-Shaming After Latest IG Claim Amid Trade Rumors

‘Disappointed yet resilient’, can be an apt phrase to describe the injury-bound Mitchell Robinson. The New York Knicks center has had a long stay off the court, dealing with an ankle injury. While the 26-year-old was expected to make his return for the season opener, the latest report has stated that the big man might have to wait a little longer. Moreover, after the blockbuster Karl-Anthony Towns trade, the NY side hinted at another trade before the opener. Amid this jittery situation, Robinson dropped a message to self. However, fans show no mercy.

The 7 ‘0 tall big man isn’t new to expressing his mind on social media. In fact, the star recently had restless social media activity, uploading a series of IG stories after the Kat trade. Nevertheless, this time around, Robinson took a relaxed approach, sharing a positive message to himself. The NY big man took to his IG stories and wrote, “I really be in That weight room 1% better every day,” with a palm on the face emoji. It’s more of a manifestation that Robinson has relied on, in his road to recovery.

In response to the screenshot of the IG story shared on X, fans swarmed the comments, trolling the big man. For instance, a fan ruthlessly wrote, “You’ve gotten worse at free throw shooting 1% every season. You can eat sour patches and beef patties. You’re not a starting center anymore. Just work on your free throws and do some yoga.”
