St. John’s Golf Programs Attend Keegan Bradley’s Ryder Cup “One Year Out” Press Conference – St. John’s University Athletics

NEW YORK The St. John’s men’s and women’s golf programs attended the Ryder Cup “One Year Out” Press Conference, hosted by the PGA of America on Tuesday.

The men’s and women’s golf student-athletes were joined by Head Coaches Phil Wildermuth and Ambry Bishop-Santillo and Director of Athletics and Vice President Ed Kull at the Times Center in midtown Manhattan for the news conference.

The news conference featured St. John’s alumnus and 2025 United States Ryder Cup Captain Keegan Bradley and returning European captain Luke Donald. The duo discussed their plans for leading their respective squads at the biannual event which will take place in just under a year at Bethpage Black in Farmingdale, N.Y on Sept. 26-28, 2025.

“Bethpage is a really special for me in my golfing life,” said Bradley during Tuesday’s press conference, a 2008 graduate. “I came to St. John’s University in Queens wanting to play golf and going to Bethpage was the first major championship course I had ever seen or played.”

Following the event, the Red Storm golfers got the opportunity to meet Bradley and take photographs with the iconic Ryder Cup trophy.

Bradley was named the captain this summer on July 8 becoming the United States’ youngest since Arnold Palmer in 1963. The nine-time worldwide winner starred in Queens from 2004-08 and was inducted into the St. John’s Athletics Hall of Fame in 2020.
