Giants’ Andrew Thomas done for season after foot surgery

The Giants will be without Andrew Thomas for the rest of the season.

NFL Network reported that Thomas underwent surgery on Wednesday morning to repair a Lisfranc injury in his foot that will him the rest of the year.

It is the news the Giants feared on Tuesday after The Post’s Paul Schwartz reported the star offensive tackle was dealing with a potentially significant injury.

Thomas was in Charlotte on Tuesday night getting examined by renowned foot specialist Dr. Robert Anderson.

Thomas is the anchor of a Giants offensive line that had seen all five starters play every snap this season.

Thomas suffered the injury during the Giants’ touchdown drive in their 17-7 loss to the Bengals on Sunday night that dropped the team to 2-4.

It is expected that Josh Ezeudu, who started five games last season, will take over as the Giants starter at left tackle.

However, the injury to the 25-year-old Thomas makes any chance of the Giants resurrecting the season even more unlikely.
