Malik Nabers is set to return in Week 7

The New York Giants are preparing for a divisional match against the Philadelphia Eagles by bringing back standout rookie Malik Nabers, who has cleared concussion protocol. Nabers, who missed two weeks with a concussion, has suited up for practice and is expected to return against Philly on Sunday. He has not yet been officially declared active by the team.

The Giants struggle with big-time plays when Nabers isn’t in the lineup, as evidenced by their poor offensive performance against the Cincinnati Bengals. Daniel Jones, who was better with Nabers, showed improvement before his injury in Week 4. Nabers has caught 35 passes in four games this year, averaging 386 yards and three touchdowns. His acrobatic grab against the Cleveland Browns in Week 3 is a standout feature, making him a welcome sight.
Nabers, selected sixth overall in the 2024 NFL draft, received training on the league’s gambling policy during his rookie offseason. He signed a four-year, $29.9 million contract on May 10, 2024. Nabers became the first Giant to wear uniform number 1, making him the first to wear it since 1935. He signed his contract on May 10, 2024.
Nabers made his NFL debut with five receptions for 66 yards in a loss to the Minnesota Vikings. He caught his first touchdown pass in Week 2 against the Washington Commanders and had 78 receiving yards and two touchdowns in Week 3 against the Cleveland Browns. He became the first player in NFL history to have at least 20 receptions and three touchdown catches in his first three career games and the youngest wide receiver to record at least two touchdown receptions in a game.
