Karl-Anthony Towns Shares Wolves Exec’s ‘Gangster’ Alert in Intricate Revelations About Shocking Knicks Trade

When Karl-Anthony Towns got traded to the Knicks earlier this month, it came as a shock to everyone. Even the big man himself! Just hours before the move, KAT even worked out at the Wolves facility and was looking forward to the upcoming season. But soon after, Shams Charania broke the news via a tweet, turning the Center’s world upside down. However, the blow was softened by Wolves President Tim Connelly as Towns revealed that the executive alerted him about the trade just minutes before Charania’s tweet.

In conversation with his new teammates on The Roommates Show, KAT revealed key details about the day he got traded, “It was a hell of a Friday night, I guess. It just was a long day. I was in the facility too, I worked out, everything was cool and then, at night, everything wasn’t cool. That’s exactly mostly how it went.” Surprisingly, he got to know about the trade just “four minutes” before Shams broke the news online, “By the time the shock wore off, Shams had already tweeted.”

Sure enough, the person who alerted him was Tim Connelly, “I didn’t get called. They told me, Tim told me to my face that I was traded.” Even Jalen Brunson was taken aback by KAT’s revelation as said, “Respect.” That’s because most players in the league get traded without any notice or they find out over a phone call, but Connelly went out of his way to have a physical meeting with Towns. “It was gangster.” KAT remarked.
