Golisano Business Institute launches A.I. hub

The Golisano Institute for Business & Entrepreneurship has launched its AI Innovation Hub for students and staff.

“I’m here to foster positive relationships, making life for humans not only more efficient but also more joyful and fulfilling,” said Ria the Robot, explaining her function.

Ria is an example of the latest in humanoid robot technology on hand from Machani Robotics.

The hub at the Golisano Institute has a media lab, a recording studio and a beta laboratory devoted to exploring AI and its applications.

“We’re excited to open this hub on our campus so our students and staff can utilize this cutting-edge technology to further their entrepreneurial studies,” said Dr. Ian Mortimer, president of the Golisano Institute for Business & Entrepreneurship. “It demonstrates our institution’s continued commitment to equipping our students with the essential knowledge and skills to thrive in a technology-driven business landscape.”

“The AI Innovation Hub will provide students with access to the tools necessary to learn and explore emerging AI use cases,” said Graham Anthony, assistant vice president for education technologies and innovation. “We are providing our students with the tools they need to build a career that’s future-proof.”
