When the schedule was released, this looked to be an interesting matchup. The new-look Patriots taking on the returning Aaron Rodgers and the Jets. However, both teams have been abysmal to watch this year, leaving many to not really care about this matchup.
Rodgers has thrown just 10 touchdowns over the first seven games of the season, leading an offense that has been mediocre at best so far. Even with the firing of Robert Saleh, there has been no signs of optimism for the struggling franchise. The Jets have lost four straight games, scoring no more than 20 points over this stretch, including a 37-15 waxing at the hands of the Pittsburgh Steelers last Sunday.
On the other side, since their stunning win over the Cincinnati Bengals on the opening Sunday of the season, the Patriots have been just as bad. Their offense is subpar, and their defense cannot stop a leaf from blowing in the wind. The team has lost six straight games, giving up 30 or more points in three of the last four weeks, and has scored 20 points just once this season.
The Jets and Pats sit third and fourth in the AFC East, with the Jets sitting three games back of the first-place Buffalo Bills.
MY PICK: Patriots win, 17-13
