‘Jersey Shore’ star attends Trump rally in New York City

Entertainment gossip and news from Newsweek’s network of contributors

Vinny Guadagnino has seemingly made it clear what side of the political aisle he stands on.

On Sunday, October 27, the Jersey Shore star, 36, attended a rally for Republican nominee Donald J. Trump at New York City’s Madison Square Garden, where he praised the controversial former president and his constituents.

Guadagnino posted multiple videos on his Instagram Story of speeches from the sold-out event. The MTV star called Trump “the anti-establishment/anti-war/anti-inflation candidate” and wrote, “I don’t vote for anyone Dick Cheney votes for!” Republican Cheney — who served as vice president under President George W. Bush — has stated he will be voting for current VP and democratic candidate Kamala Harris in the 2024 presidential election.

Guadagnino also posted clips of controversial politicians Vivek Ramaswamy, Tulsi Gabbard, and Robert F. Kennedy speaking.

“crushing it. Look out for him next election,” the TV personality wrote about Ramaswamy, while he commented that Gabbard was “spittin facts [about] no more wars.” In her speech, Gabbard claimed a vote for Harris “is a vote for Dick Cheney” and would lead to “World War III’ and a “nuclear war.”

He further commented on RFK Jr.’s political views. “Make America HEALTHY again,” Guadagnino captioned a video of RFK walking onto the stage, seemingly referring to Kennedy’s anti-vaccination stance. (RFK Jr. ran for president as an independent candidate but dropped out of the race in August.)

In another one of his Stories, Guadagnino praised billionaire Elon Musk, writing that he is “one of the smartest men of all time.”

The reality TV star also posted snippets of speeches given by UFC CEO Dana White, former Fox News commentator Tucker Carlson, and talk show host Dr. Phil McGraw.

“listen to @drphil . don’t bully someone based on who they vote for,” Guadagnino penned.

After seeing Guadagnino’s Stories, some Jersey Shore fans took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to vent about their disappointment regarding his political stance.

“Seeing @VINNYGUADAGNINO worshipping idols at the Trump Rally is such a disappointment. What a shame. #Vinny #MTV,” one fan commented.

“vinny guadagnino being at a trump rally this weekend, I’ve never gotten the ick so fast.,” another person posted on the app.

One fan said they believe his political views have affected his relationship with women, writing, in reference to Trump’s pro-life stance, “This is why he’s chronically single; he has no respect for women. Actually disrespect forwards [towards] women, and their right to make decisions about their own bodies and health.”

Some fans pointed out how Guadagnino’s mother, Paula, was also at the rally, which upset them. “Miss Paula lost my respect too,” an individual shared.
