Knicks vs Heat Prediction, Picks & NBA Odds
Although Miami enters tonight’s matchup in South Beach with a better record, Kenny Ducey breaks down why New York should have the upper hand in this Eastern Conference showdown.

The New York Knicks have gotten off to a strange start this season, falling victim to an incredible offensive showing by Boston on opening night before responding with two solid games, only to drop their last game to Cleveland after Jalen Brunson left the floor with an injury for most of the second half.
Ultimately, I expect the star-studded Knicks to prove their worth against a Miami Heat team that has received a generous schedule to open up the year. Find out more in my Knicks vs. Heat predictions and NBA picks for Wednesday, October 30.

My analysis
The Miami Heat haven’t exactly looked stunning this season, only holding a 2-1 record thanks to playing the lowly Pistons and Hornets. Entering tonight, Miami ranks just 19th in offensive efficiency and dead-last in rebounding rate, and the Heat will be in trouble against the New York Knicks.
New York has steadied defensively after taking a right hook from the Celtics, putting forth an excellent 106.1 defensive rating in the last two games while dominating on the glass. The rebounding battle has been one to watch between these teams through the years, as New York has excelled despite countless injuries, while Miami’s shown little interest in crashing the boards. It should once again be a deciding factor on Wednesday when the Heat face their first real test on offense, sporting some inflated numbers due to a soft schedule.
Miami ranks seventh in shot frequency from 3-point range this season, turning it up after sitting a firm 15th last season, and while the Knicks have technically ranked in the bottom three of the league against the three, they’ve allowed a league-best 24.6% shooting from outside since opening night.
I expect the Knicks to shut down Miami’s outside attack and wipe the boards clean en route to victory, leaning on some 3-point shooting of their own against a Heat team that has been mediocre in defending from the perimeter.
Knicks vs Heat same-game parlay (SGP)
With the Heat allowing a whopping 46.2% from midrange, Mikal Bridges should rise and fire plenty of times. The first-year Knick has eclipsed this mark in every game by playing at least 33 minutes each night, and he’s shooting 60% from the field on 13.3 attempts per game. With Josh Hart banged up, Bridges might see even more volume tonight.
I’m wrapping up this SGP by backing Karl Anthony-Towns clean up on the glass. Miami has been dreadful in rebounding the ball, and with an incredibly short bench in the frontcourt, Towns should be the go-to man against Bam Adebayo and Co.
