Massive News, Legendary Western New York Store Announces CLOSING
There is sad news for many in Western New York as a famous, and popular, store has revealed it will be closing in February.
The last part of 2024 is here, and many businesses across New York State, and here in WNY, are trying to formulate a budget and plan for 2025. In this economy, it is not as easy as it used to be and unfortunately, many brick and mortar and legendary stores are faced with a tough decision.
In a letter sent to customers, W.G. Arthur Co, in the Village of Orchard Park, south of Buffalo, has announced it will be shutting it’s doors in early 2025.
According to some of the letter, ” It is with deepest regret to inform you that Arthur’s Hardware and Arthur’s’ Home Furnishings will be going out of business effective February 1, 2025″.
The letter goes on to thank customers and the community for their support for the many years that they have been in business.
W.G. Arthur Co has been in business in Orchard Park, New York for over 117 years!
Our best wishes go out to the owners and as a customer of theirs in the past, I know this has to be a tough decision for the family as well.
As far as the reason, the letter mentions that it is for “circumstances that are beyond our control”.
