The former Northwestern star, who went undrafted in this year’s NBA draft, is signing a two-way contract with the New York Knicks, ESPN’s Shams Charania reports.

Buie played middle school basketball in the Harrisburg CYO league for St. Catherine Laboure along Derry Street in Harrisburg, before moving to Albany, New York and eventually heading to Northwestern.

At Northwestern, Buie became the program’s all-time scorer in 2024 after five years in purple, and earned two first-team All-Big Ten honors while leading the Wildcats to back-to-back NCAA Tournament appearances.

Buie is also the half-brother of Penn State’s all-time leading scorer Talor Battle, and brother of former Penn State player Taran Buie. His sister Alexis also starred at Cedar Cliff, and currently plays at Shippensburg.

The 6-foot-2, 180-pound Buie originally signed an Exhibit 10 contract with the Phoenix Suns this offseason, which could have landed him on the team’s G-League squad, but now joins the Knicks organization on a two-way contract, which will allow Buie to shuffle between both the G-League and the NBA throughout the year.
