Air France will commence a new direct service between Paris-Charles de Gaulle and Orlando, Florida from 21 May 2025.
The new service will operate four times weekly with Airbus A350-900 aircraft that feature business, premium and economy cabins.
Flights will operate on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday, departing Paris at 17:05 and arriving in Orlando at 20:45. Flights from Orlando, meanwhile, depart at 23:00 and arrive in the French capital at 13:30 the following day.
The new Orlando route, subject to government approval, will mark the carrier’s 18th US destination. The carrier also flies to Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Denver, Detroit, Houston, Los Angeles, Miami, Minneapolis, New York JFK, New York Newark, Phoenix, Raleigh Durham, San Francisco, Seattle and Washington DC.
In a separate update on its trade portal, Air France together with sister carrier KLM, advised that as 29 October 2024, fees to purchase additional baggage online for Business Light fares will be increased.
The fare type includes one piece of checked baggage at 32kg, however travellers will now be expected to pay €109 for their first additional bag, and €239 for a second or more additional pieces of baggage. During high season, there will be an additional €5 charged on top of the increased price.
The change applies to long-haul flights from Europe except for those to the US, Canada, Mexico and Tahiti. SkyTeam Elite and Elite Plus members are still permitted an extra piece of checked baggage at no additional cost, the carrier advised.
