Spirit Christmas stores now open in New York. Here’s where to find them

It’s time to start spreading Christmas cheer as two of the eight inaugural Spirit Christmas stores throughout the Northeast are now open in New York.

Ten stores were originally announced back in October, with three planned for New York, but the company has since reduced the number of Spirit Christmas locations to eight, with only two in the Empire State.

Here’s what to know.

Where are NY’s Spirit Christmas stores located?

New York’s Spirit Christmas stores are located at Sayville Plaza, 5181 Sunrise Hwy, in Bohemia and Chestnut Plaza, 2020 South Rd., in Poughkeepsie.

A third location in Albany was announced in October but is no longer listed on the Spirit Christmas website. Other places across the Northeast include four stores in New Jersey and one-a-piece in Pennsylvania and Massachusetts.

What will you find inside Spirit Christmas stores?

Visitors can get into the holiday spirit with an array of holiday decor, apparel, inflatables, gifts and stocking stuffers to choose from, according to a news release from Spirit Christmas. Customers will also be greeted by a life-sized gingerbread village where you can mail your letter to Santa, find out if you’ve been naughty or nice, and meet and get photos with Santa.

And if you book your visit with Santa early, you’ll be able to redeem a complementary gift and two personalized messages — a phone call and bedtime story video — with Santa. You can schedule a date and time now by visiting spiritchristmas.com.

What are the store’s hours?

You can visit the New York locations Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m.-9 p.m. and Sundays between 10 a.m.-6 p.m., according to the website.

Santa will be in store starting Friday, Nov. 29 through Tuesday, Dec. 24 on Thursdays and Fridays between 3-7 p.m., Saturdays from 11 a.m.-7 p.m. and Sundays from noon-6 p.m., the news release says, and limited sessions will be available on Christmas Eve.
