Jordyn Woods Supports Boyfriend Karl-Anthony Towns in Gianvito Rossi Ribbon D’Orsay Slingback PVC Heels at New York Knicks Game
Jordyn Woods was spotted at Madison Square Garden on Nov. 15 in New York. Woods has been frequenting the stadium as of late to support her boyfriend, basketball star Karl-Anthony Towns, who made his debut on the Knicks a few weeks ago.
The model sat courtside in a pair of it-girl PVC slingback heels from Gianvito Rossi. Woods’ Ribbon D’Orsay pick is comparable to styles from brands like Saint Laurent. Thin slingback straps gave way to adjustable buckle closures, see-through brownish-red PVC uppers and sharp pointed toes. 3 to 4-inch stiletto heels rounded out the set. The choice was a playful one, contrasting the blue denim tones in her ensemble.
The clear heel creates an illusive look that makes the wearer look like they’re floating. Stuart Weitzman, Aquazzura, Asos, Jimmy Choo and Giuseppe Zanotti all feature styles that are comparable to Mowry’s own. PVC styles became popular in the 2010s but can be traced back to the 80s with similar jelly shoes. In the 90s, the silhouette was worn by club kids and dancers.
The 2010s saw Dsquared2, Prada and Fendi feature PVC shoes in their spring 2010 shows, catapulting the shoe into the mainstream. Love them or hate them, PVC styles seem to be going strong despite their risque nature. The material is a tricky one to wear, given the see-through PVC can fog up at times.
On the ensemble front, Woods sported a tan sheer shirt trimmed with rhinestones worn with ultra-baggy distressed jeans with a paint-stained speckle that looked to be intentional. Overtop it all, the socialite sported a denim trench coat featuring blue faux-fur trim on the collar and hem.
Where footwear is concerned, Woods often wears heeled sandals and pumps in a range of colors and silhouettes, often from luxury brands including Christian Louboutin, Tom Ford and Bottega Veneta. Off-duty, she can also be seen in slides by Ugg and APL, as well as sneakers from Nike, Chanel and Rick Owens.
