To celebrate their 33 years of marriage, the basketball legend made a tribute video featuring several photos of him and his wife. Some of their wedding pictures were also shared on his IG handle. Along with it, he wrote a heartwarming message to show his love for his wife. “Happy 33rd Anniversary to my lovely wife Yolanda. Thank you and love you with all my heart,” Hardaway captioned it.

Born in 1975, the mother of three has known the basketball legend for more than 4 decades now.

The two tied the knot on May 15, 1993. Just as one might assume, the ceremony was private in the presence of only their family and friends. Right after 1993, Hardaway Sr. was supposed to join the Dream Team II in the 1994 FIBA World Championship. However, he couldn’t make it to the team because of his knee ligament injury. Finally, Hardaway Sr. became part of the Olympic team in 2000.

In the Detroit Pistons‘ narrow 123-121 win over the Miami Heat, veteran player Tim Hardaway Jr. suffered a severe blow. During the third quarter, Hardaway got hit in the face, then took a knee to the head, and ultimately fell head-first onto the floor. It was a frightening moment, and Hardaway Jr. was soon escorted to the locker room in a wheelchair, leaving fans and teammates deeply concerned. 

His father, Tim Hardaway Sr., expressed how tough it was to watch his son endure such a serious hit to the head.

“He got messed up. I was right there watching, and it was tough to watch. As a dad you watch your son play, and you see him get real hard, then hit the head on the floor real hard, and lay down there, it’s very concerning, it gets real. I’m like, ‘Pop up, pop up’, then I’m like ‘Stay down collect your thoughts,” Hardaway said.

Before the incident, Hardaway Jr. had been averaging 12.5 points per game this season. As concerns about a potential brain injury loomed among fans and netizens, Hardaway Jr. underwent a CAT scan, as per the NBA insider Chris Haynes. To fans’s relief, the results revealed no significant damage. While doctors had cleared him to return to the NBA, he still had to sit out a few games as per the league’s protocol.
