New York Rangers Recall Victor Mancini

The New York Rangers announced they have recalled defenseman Victor Mancini from the Hartford Wolf Pack.

The 22-year-old has been up and down this season, recording five points in six AHL games and four points in 10 games with the Rangers while averaging 15:25 of ice time.

With Jacob Trouba reportedly having been traded to the Anaheim Ducks for Urho Vaakanainen, the right-handed shooting Mancini will likely play in New York’s game against the Pittsburgh Penguins tonight.

It will be interesting to see if this trade leads to more playing time for Mancini or if he will continue to serve as the team’s seventh defenseman.

Mancini last played for the Rangers on Nov. 23 against the Edmonton Oilers.
