Bengals QB Joe Burrow’s .5M home broken into during ‘MNF’ in another athlete robbery

Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow had his $7.5 million Ohio home broken into during Cincinnati’s 27-20 road win over the Cowboys on “Monday Night Football,” the Hamilton County’s Sheriff’s Office told WLWT in Cincinnati.

A bedroom in Burrow’s Anderson Township residence was “ransacked” and one of the windows was shattered, per the outlet.

An individual called 911 stating their daughter was in the house at the time, and an officer reportedly was on detail during the game.

“Someone is trying to break into the house right now. My daughter is there. This is Joe Burrow’s house. She is staying there. He’s at the football game. She’s wondering what she should do, if she should be hiding, or if she should go outside,” the individual said. “She said someone was in the house.”

The daughter then called 911 and said: “Someone broke into my house. It’s like completely messed up.”

Burrow, who bought the house in the summer of 2023, is the third high-profile NFL player to be the victim of a break-in in recent memory, joining Chiefs stars Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes.

The NFL recently warned players in a memo about of how professional athletes homes are becoming “increasingly targeted for burglaries by organized and skilled groups,” per the Associated Press.

A South American crime ring is suspected as the culprits behind the break-ins at Kelce’s Kansas residence and Mahomes’ Missouri home in October.

Burglars entered Mahomes’ home on Oct. 6 and entered Kelce’s while the Chiefs hosted the Saints on “Monday Night Football” the next night.

A police report stated Kelce had approximately $20,000 in cash stolen and his back door suffered damage, according to TMZ.

Monday’s burglary happened while Burrow was in Texas leading the Bengals to their fifth win.

The former No. 1 pick threw for 369 yards, three touchdowns and one interception, including the game-winning touchdown pass to Ja’Marr Chase with 1:01 remaining.

Burrow has 33 touchdowns to six interceptions this season and would be a stronger candidate in the MVP race if not for the terrible Bengals (5-8) defense blowing several games.
