Popularly known as the power couple of the Indian cricket team, Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli were recently spotted at the Mumbai International Airport as they prepared to board a flight to the USA for the upcoming 2024 T20 World Cup.

The Indian cricket team traveled to the USA last week for one of their most important assignments of the year, the 2024 T20 World Cup. However, the 15-man squad, excluding the 4 travel reserves, were forced to travel in batches due to IPL duties.

However, Virat Kohli, the team’s most vital figure, was the last to board the flight to the USA. After much wait and anticipation, Kohli was spotted at the Mumbai International Airport last night as he jetted off to New York City to join the team ahead of the big event.

However, apparently, Virat Kohli’s wife and mainstream Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma also accompanied her husband on his trip.

The power couple posed for a photo inside the lounge with the airport staff, indicating that Anushka will stay with Virat throughout the tournament as a constant support.

Notably, Anushka dedicatedly attended RCB’s IPL game this year and witnessed a dramatic turnaround in the second half from up close and personal. And for Virat Kohli, his wife’s presence will act as a psychological support amidst a high-pressure tournament.

While the Indian cricket team is scheduled to play a warm-up game against Bangladesh on June 1, Virat Kohli’s participation is still uncertain as the management will take the travel fatigue and jet lag factors into consideration before taking a final call.
