The New York Racing Association has canceled live racing Thursday at Aqueduct Racetrack because high winds forecast to impact New York City throughout the day.

The National Weather Service is calling for sustained high winds on Thursday with gusts approaching 50 mph. New York City is under a high wind advisory. As a result of these conditions, NYRA canceled Thursday’s eight-race card at the Big A.

Live racing is scheduled to resume on Friday at the Big A with an eight-race card. First post on Friday is 12:10 p.m. EST.

Aqueduct will host four graded stakes on Saturday, the Grade 2 Cigar Mile; the Remsen (G2), a Kentucky Derby points prep; the Demoiselle (G2), a points prep for the Kentucky Oaks (G1); and the Go For Wand (G3). The NWS forecast called for a mostly sunny day with a high of 39 degrees.
