Bengals vs. Broncos prediction: NFL Week 17 picks, odds, best bets
Oddsmakers are expecting Saturday’s Bengals-Broncos matchup to be one of the highest-scoring of the week.
That’s, in large part, due to how Cincinnati has played of late.
Joe Burrow’s offense has been humming, but Cincy’s defense has been as porous as it gets, giving up at least 300 total yards in five of their last six games.
The Broncos’ defense hasn’t been so hot of late too.
After being one of the best in football through the first half, Denver has struggled stopping opposing teams from putting up points in recent weeks.
Last week, the Chargers’ offense had 380 total yards and 34 points during a win at SoFi Stadium.
On Dec. 2, they allowed a mind-boggling 550 yards and 41 points to Jameis Winston and Co.
They’ve stayed in the playoff race as their defense has tailed off thanks to the play of rookie quarterback Bo Nix, who has enjoyed a strong few months after a slow start.
After throwing just one touchdown through four games, Nix has 21 TD passes with six interceptions over his last 11 contests.
Over their last five games, the Broncos rank second in the NFL with 33.2 points per game, and the Bengals aren’t far behind at 30.6.
Betting on the NFL?
Totals have gone over in each of the Broncos’ last five games, while four of the Bengals’ last five have gone over.
I’m betting on this trend to continue.
The play: Bengals-Broncos Over 49.5 total points (-110, BetRivers)
