Bengals vs Giants: Expert Predictions For Week 6 Sunday Night Football
Week 6 of the NFL season is here, and each game is magnified at this point in the year. We have a great matchup on Sunday Night Football tonight as the Cincinnati Bengals take on the New York Giants.
The two teams will be looking to make a statement in this contest, with each side needing a win. Cincinnati, coming off a heartbreaking loss last week to the Baltimore Ravens, enters this game with a record of 1-4.
As for the Giants, they are coming off a massive win over the Seattle Seahawks last week. They enter this contest with a record of 2-3 and will be looking to even their record at .500.
But the biggest question in all of this is which team will win the game? Luckily for you Newsweek Sports has you covered. Our staff predicted the game and here is how we expect things to play out in this primetime game.
Matt Levine: Entering this game, Cincinnati may be the best 1-4 team in recent memory. The offensive attack is firing on all cylinders but the defense hasn’t been able to step up to stop anyone. They held a players’ meeting this week to address the issues and are hoping it can fix things. If the Bengals can execute their game plan in this contest, they should be able to come away with the win on the road.
Prediction: Bengals 30, Giants 20
Valentina Martinez: The Bengals should have an easy time getting back into the win column after their Week 6 matchup with the Giants. New York is short Malik Nabers and Devin Singletary for the Sunday Night Football showdown.
Prediction: Bengals 24, Giants 3
Ricardo Sandoval: The Bengals will travel to the Meadowlands and search for their second win of the season against the Giants who have yet to collect a home victory. Two of the Giants’ three losses have come at home and I believe a third one is on the horizon. The Bengals have found their groove on offense and that spells trouble for New York.
Prediction: Bengals 31, Giants 17
Eva Geitheim: I think the Bengals will defeat the Giants tonight because Joe Burrow and Ja’Marr Chase are on fire currently. While the Bengals are playing on the road, Cincinnati should be the better team on the field.
Prediction: Bengals 30, Giants 17
John Robinson: The Bengals are still fighting for their postseason life despite starting the new season 1-4. Joe Burrow should be able to lead the Bengals to a win as their high-powered offense has looked pretty efficient as of late. If the Cincinnati defense can put together some stops, the Bengals should cruise to a win.
Prediction: Bengals 28, Giants 10
This game will kick off at 5:20 p.m. PT, 8:20 p.m. ET. Both sides will be looking to make a statement here.
