Bengals vs. Giants score and live updates: NFL Sunday Night Football analysis, odds and latest
Giants defensive coordinator Shane Bowen’s defenses in Tennessee had success against Joe Burrow, surrendering three points, 20 points and 19 points in the last three meetings. The Titans’ pass rush was the key in those matchups (nine sacks in Cincy’s 19-16 win in the 2021 divisional round). You basically can’t blitz Burrow, because he’ll destroy it, so it will be key for the front four to get home. It should be another game with a lot of simulated pressures. The Giants are ninth in red-zone touchdown percentage. The Bengals are going to move the ball. Ending drives with field goals will be a win for the Giants.
With Kayvon Thibodeaux out at least the next four weeks, this is a golden opportunity for Azeez Ojulari in a contract year. Ojulari can largely fill the void as a pass rusher, but he’s not as stout against the run. I imagine we’ll see Patrick Johnson and/or Boogie Basham mixed in on some early downs.
Rookie linebacker Darius Muasau rotated in for Micah McFadden for one series last week. I expect that to continue, likely a series per half, depending on the game flow. They want to get the rookie integrated.
