Boys in girls’ sports — what will it take for Democrats to wake up?
“I have two girls, I don’t want them getting run over on a playing field by a male or formerly male athlete, but as a Democrat, I’m supposed to be afraid to say that,” Rep. Seth Moulton (D-Mass.) told the New York Times as he explained why his party lost last week.
Naturally, the Dem base exploded: Staffers resigned in a huff; the Salem (!) town Democratic Committee prepared to burn him at the stake, and the Tufts poli-sci department chair vowed to block any internships with the congressman.
Tufts higher-ups quickly stomped on that, but it all proves Moulton’s point about how insane the party has gone here.
Look: The “Kamala Harris is for the they/them, Donald Trump is for you” ad was a huge winner for the prez-elect.
Two-thirds of voters (and half of Democrats) side firmly with Moulton — and with Long Island Democratic Rep. Tom Suozzi, who’s similarly stood up.
If Dems ever want to win again, they’ve got to get real on issues like this: Americans won’t be bullied into accepting claptrap that endangers their kids.
