Check out the HBO / MAX lineup at New York Comic Con 2024 – Roster Con

The 2024 edition of New York Comic Con, taking place October 17-20, will once again be one of the can’t-miss pop culture events of the year. HBO and Max are well aware of this and will be offering a number of panels to highlight some of the most anticipated series.

For example, on Thursday, October 17, 2024, from 11:00 to 12:00 on the Empire stage, HBO will preview the second part of Season 1 of The Penguin and host a panel with the show’s creative team and stars. In attendance will be Lauren Lefranc, showrunner of The Penguin, Michael Marino who is in charge of prosthetic make-up, as well as Colin Farrell, Cristin Milioti, Rhenzy Feliz, Deirdre O’Connell, Michael Kelly and Clancy Brown.

Later in the day, from 15:00 to 16:00, the American network will broadcast the official trailer for the series Dune: Prophecy on the Empire stage. This prequel, set 10,000 years before the Dune films, will follow two Harkonnen sisters as they battle the forces that threaten the future of mankind and found the legendary sect known as the Bene Gesserit. In addition to unveiling the official trailer at New York Comic Con 2024, HBO will offer attendees the opportunity to chat with Dune: Prophecy showrunner Alison Schapker, executive producer Jordan Goldberg and seven of the series’ stars: Emily Watson, Olivia Williams, Travis Fimmel, Sarah-Sofie Boussnina, Josh Heuston, Chloe Lea and Jessica Barden.

The following day, Friday, October 18, 2024, visitors will be able to preview the series The Franchise. This screening will be followed by a discussion with the show’s cast (Himesh Patel, Aya Cash, Billy Magnussen, Lolly Adefope, Daniel Brühl, Darren Goldstein and Isaac Powell) and some members of the technical team (Jon Brown, Rachel Axler and Juli Weiner).

The HBO / Max celebration will conclude on Saturday, October 19, from 4:45 to 5:45 p.m. on the Empire Stage with a preview of the Creature Commandos series, which will debut on MAX in December 2024. Several members of the Creature Commandos team will be on hand to discuss their work on this new DC series. Are expected to attend: James Gunn, Dean Lorey, Frank Grillo, David Harbour, Zoë Chao, Steve Agee and Sean Gunn.
